What is a OneSpirit Minister ?
a OneSpirit Minister is someone ordained by the OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation after a deep and searching 2 year training .
this training includes looking at the truths of many different faith paths , asking what is the one spirit , the one truth or thread that is at the heart of them all ? how can we connect with this , and learn to better accept difference ? what are the obstacles to this within ourselves ?
the training also includes learning counselling skills , and the crafting of bespoke ceremonies for all stages of life , for those of any faith or no faith.
ordination means commitment to living according to one’s personal understanding of the spiritual truth , the presence , the love , that has been given so many names in so many times and places .
life after ordination is an ongoing exploration of how this way of being reveals itself in daily life , and what is the most appropriate way to be of service and share this with others .
ministers are bound by the code of ethics of the OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation , and their structure of supervision and ongoing professional development.
